What ages do you work with?

I am trained to work with 11- 25 year olds. Where as many therapy course training is aimed at child or adult work, I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy in Education (IATE) specifically designed to work with adolescents.

What areas can you support with?

  • Moving location/ new school

  • Parental divorce or separation

  • Self-harm

  • Trauma (including physical, sexual and verbal abuse)

Are the sessions confidential?

I will always respect your young person’s right to privacy, however where there are safeguarding concerns there has to be exceptions.

If I think there is a risk of harm to your young person or others, or if there is a legal requirement to disclose information then I am bound by my professional conduct to ensure that the appropriate steps are taken. This will be discussed fully in the initial assessment.

How long and how often do sessions last?

Sessions run for 50 minutes, they take place weekly in the same timeslot.

What happens if I am unable to attend?

If you have a date that is planned-I will always do my best to rearrange the session to another point in the week. There is a 24hr cancellation policy, the session will be charged at the normal rate.
